Kasama Nichido Art Museum has a large collection of historical paintings such as Murasaki Shikibu in Omi Ishiyama-ji Temple by Eisaku Wada, and calligraphy and paintings by Western-style artists such as Morikazu Kumagai and Kazumasa Nakagawa. With the coming of the New Year, we are more aware of our Japanese identity, this exhibition brings together calligraphy and paintings that capture the history of Japan and the changing seasons. In addition, the exhibition will feature the work of documentary photographer Seishi Yagishita, who sadly passed away in 2023. We hope you will rediscover the "beauty of Japan" in historical paintings, unique calligraphy by painters, and Yagishita's photographs which capture the original landscape of Ibaraki.
