Sakana-kun's Gyokuraku Exhibition

Sakana-kun, who continues to send out the message related to fish and the sea to us, presents his first exhibition at a museum. 100 pieces in the familiar painting materials, such as coloring pens and brush-tipped pens, are on display. You can enjoy various living things in the sea, from the pretty boxfish to the life-size Megamouse Shark. Let us think about the way to create the better natural environment through viewing the paintings of the living things in the sea by Sakana-kun.

Sakana-kun can talk with abundant knowledge and experience related to fish. In March 2015, Sakana-kun received an honorary doctorate from the Tokyo Kaiyo University. He gives lectures related to fish and the sea throughout the country, in order to give people the opportunities to think about the environmental problem around fish and us, including the fishermen. In 2010, Sakana-kun contributed his effort to rediscover the extinct KUNIMASU trout. Moreover, he received the Prime Minister award as a deserving person in promoting a national commitment to the ocean environment. He appointed as a Fish Ambassador of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2011, a public relations Ambassador of the National Federation of UNESCO Association in Japan in 2014, and a leader of the supporter's club of the living things on earth of the committee of the UNDB-J. He is a doctor and a guest associate professor of the Tokyo Kaiyo University.
